Greater Noida (National Desk): The police has arrested an accused named Bijoy Das, a Bangladeshi national, as the main accused in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case from Thane. The accused is allegedly known with many names-Vijay Das, Bijoy Das, Mohammad Ilyas, Mohammad Sajjad, BJ. During interrogation, the accused allegedly revealed his real name as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad. He was living in India as Bijoy Das.
Social media users are raising questions on the accused with different identities. A person wrote on social media website X, “Every time they catch a different person. All 3 caught till now look different from the CCTV footage of attacker in Saif’s house.”
Another user says, “But this man seems to be inconsistent with the CCTV pic shared. Now only Mumbai Police can tell what the reality is. Who is the person arrested from Chhattisgarh who was in news yesterday? This is also an unanswered question.”
Krishna wrote on X, “His face is also not matching with the CCTV footage. I don’t know what is going on.”
The Railway Protection Force on Saturday arrested a 31-year-old Aakash Kailash Kannojia in this matter at the Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh.
