Mumbai: GP Petroleums Limited (GPPL), a publicly listed petroleum products company, has achieved a significant milestone through its joint venture company, Amron Oil Resources Private Limited.
Amron Oil Resources is a 50:50 joint venture between GP Petroleums Limited (GPPL) and West Coast Oils LLP. Established in 2004, the company specializes in the manufacturing and supply of high-performance bitumen products that support India’s rapidly expanding road and infrastructure sector. Its product portfolio includes Bitumen Emulsions, Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) and Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen (CRMB), solutions engineered to enhance road durability, performance and sustainability.
During the year, Amron Oil Resources was selected by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as the operating partner for its Bitumen Cell at Pipavav, Gujarat. The dispatch of bulk bitumen from the facility was flagged off on June 4, 2026, by Shri John Prasad K., Country Head (Industrial Business), Marketing Head Office, IndianOil, in the presence of Shri V. M. Gade, CGM (IB), Gujarat State Office, Shri Abhishek Tripathi, DIBH, ADO, and Shri Aman Kumar, DIBH, RDO, along with officials from IndianOil, GP Petroleums Limited and Amron Oil Resources. The facility was inaugurated under IndianOil’s SPRINT 2026 Mission Excellence initiative.
Amron’s selection as the operating partner reflects the company’s proven technical expertise, operational capabilities, and long-standing industry experience in providing specialty bitumen solutions.
For GPPL, this achievement underscores its commitment to building value-accretive businesses that address the nation’s critical infrastructure requirements. Over the years, GPPL has strategically expanded beyond traditional petroleum products into specialised, high-growth segments that support India’s infrastructure development. The Pipavav Bitumen Cell is expected to play a vital role in ensuring the efficient supply of specialty bitumen products across Gujarat and neighbouring regions, supporting the development of stronger, longer-lasting roads and transportation infrastructure. Leveraging Pipavav’s strategic port location, the facility is well-positioned to serve large-scale infrastructure projects while enhancing logistics efficiency and expanding market reach.
