Greater Noida: The Union Cabinet has taken many decision today that will add values like equity and justice to the governance. This #SevaSankalp resolution has many commitments of the central government. Here are the key decisions:
1. Alteration of the name of the State of ‘Kerala’ to ‘Keralam’
2. Enhanced delegation to POWERGRID with Equity investment limit raised to Rs. 7500 cr per subsidiary, helping achieve the target of 500 GW from non-fossil-based sources.
Decisions worth Rs. 12,236 cr undertaken are:
3. Approval for 3 Rail Multitracking Projects across 4 States, enhancing connectivity to over 5000 villages and covering critical routes for transportation of commodities.
4. Major expansion of Civil Enclave at the Srinagar International Airport, including a new terminal building, expanded apron & multi-level car parking.
5. Increase of Raw Jute Minimum Support Price to Rs. 5925 per quintal for the marketing season 2026-27.
6. Extension of existing North-South corridor from GIFT City to Shahpur of Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited, strengthening connectivity between Ahmedabad & GIFT region.
