Gurugram: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Power, paid ₹574.35 Crore as final dividend for FY 2024-25 to Ministry of Power, Government of India at New Delhi. With this, the total dividend (including interim dividends) paid by POWERGRID for FY 2024-25 to Government of India amounts to ₹4,297.40 Crore.
A cheque was presented to Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power, by R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID in the presence of Directors of POWERGRID. As of 31st August 2025, POWERGRID has commissioned and is operating 286 Sub-stations and more than 1,80,864 ckm transmission lines and 5,77,331 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain an average transmission system availability of more than 99.84%.
