Jaipur: Luminous Power Technologies, India’s leading consumer energy fulfilment company, has announced a major breakthrough in renewable energy with the securing of multiple orders to install a cumulative 350 MW solar power project under the PM-KUSUM scheme in Rajasthan. The initiative highlights Luminous’ expanding role in advancing India’s clean energy goals and strengthening rural energy security through effective solar adoption.

The project comprises multiple solar installations of varying capacities across districts in Rajasthan, designed to generate clean energy while providing rural income support. As part of the rollout, Luminous will supply 1000 utility-scale Grid-Tie Luminous NXI A inverters, engineered to deliver up to 99% efficiency. With rugged IP66 and C5-M design, advanced protections, and a 10-year warranty, the NXI A inverters are positioned as a reliable choice for utility-scale deployments, ensuring maximum energy yield even under extreme weather conditions.

Preeti Bajaj, CEO & MD of Luminous Power Technologies, emphasized the significance of the milestone: “India has entered a phase of renewable acceleration, rapidly becoming one of the world’s most dynamic markets for clean energy, supported by ambitious national targets and strong policy initiatives. The 350 MW solar project under the PM-KUSUM scheme marks a major milestone for Luminous. It reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting India’s clean energy transition while empowering rural communities at scale.”

She further added, “By combining Luminous’s advanced solar technology with the entrepreneurial spirit of Rajasthan’s farmers, we are creating a future where clean energy and livelihood thrive together.”

Under the project structure, electricity generated from these solar plants will be sold to local DISCOMs, which will distribute clean energy to residential, commercial, and institutional consumers. The initiative also supports farmers who lease their land for solar development, offering them a stable additional income stream. More than 150 farmer families are expected to benefit directly.

The combined installations are projected to generate 500–560 million units of electricity annually, offsetting an estimated 402,000–459,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year—equivalent to planting approximately 19–22 million trees. Execution will begin in the first quarter of 2026, with multiple EPC contractors and local developers collaborating on staggered rollouts.

Luminous, a full-stack consumer energy fulfilment company, offers a comprehensive solar ecosystem for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Its NXI-A grid-tie inverters are compatible with high-capacity solar panels, including TOPCon and Monocrystalline types, and feature intelligent monitoring systems for real-time alerts and automatic diagnostics to maximize energy yield.

The PM-KUSUM Scheme, spearheaded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, aims to de-dieselize the farm sector and enhance farmers’ income. With India’s power sector targeting 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030 and achieving a record 51% non-fossil fuel-based energy share in 2025, this project underscores the nation’s progress toward a clean, self-reliant energy future.
