New Delhi: Heritage Foods, one of India’s leading dairy brands, has announced significant price reductions across its product range, passing on the full benefits of the Government of India’s recent GST rationalization to consumers ahead of the festive season.
Following the GST Council’s decision effective September 22, 2025, the company has lowered prices on key dairy items including ghee, paneer, butter, cheese, and ice cream. The move is expected to stimulate demand and make premium dairy products more accessible, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
“This isn’t just about lower prices—it’s about making purity and quality available to every household,” said Brahmani Nara, Executive Director, Heritage Foods. “Dairy is central to every celebration, and these reductions will bring added joy to homes across India.”
Under the revised pricing:
- Long shelf-life UHT milk: ₹3 per litre reduction (No price change for fresh milk as the
category was exempted from GST since beginning) - Ghee: ₹50 per litre reduction
- Butter & Cheese: ₹50 per kg reduction
- Paneer: ₹25 per kg reduction
- Ice cream: ₹35 o the 950 ml pack and ₹20 o the 700 ml pack
- Fresh milk remains unaffected, as it has been exempt from GST since inception.
Heritage Foods reaffirmed its commitment to consumer value, ensuring availability through both retail and online channels. The company believes this initiative will enhance the role of dairy in festive traditions and promote inclusive celebrations across the country.
