Greater Noida: Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday resigned after massive protests in Kathmandu minutes after Nepal Parliament gutted by youth protestors.

India is closely monitoring the developments in Nepal since yesterday. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a press release, “As a close friend and neighbour, we hope that all concerned will excercise restraint and address any issues through peaceful means and dialogue. We have also taken note that authorities have imposed curfew in Kathmandu and several other cities of Nepal. Indian nationals in Nepal are advised to exercise caution and adhere to the steps and guidelines issued by the Nepali authorities.”

Meanwhile, Former Nepal PM Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife who is present Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba have been violently physically attacked as protestors storm their residence.

K. P. Oli has written a letter to the protesting youth. In the letter, he has expressed deep sorrow and regret for the youth killed during the protests. Additionally, the government has lifted the social media ban imposed in Nepal. However, despite this, a large number of Gen Z youth are still taking to the streets of Nepal today, protesting against the government.
