New Delhi: The 5th edition of the ASEAN-India Youth Summit is being organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, in collaboration with the India Foundation and the ASEAN Foundation, with the support of the State Government of Goa. The Summit is taking place from 28th to 31st August 2025 in Goa, India, under the overarching theme “Connecting the Youth: Shaping Our Future.”
The Inaugural Ceremony of the Summit was addressed by Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, on 28th August 2025. In his remarks, the Minister underscored the enduring values shared between India and ASEAN, and called upon young leaders to actively contribute to strengthening cooperation in pursuit of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and the national aspiration of Viksit Bharat, within the broader context of the Asian Century.
The choice of Goa as the venue holds particular significance, as it coincides with the designation of 2025 as the ASEAN-India Year of Tourism. The Summit witnessed the participation of over 100 emerging leaders from diverse sectors including politics, technology, academia, media, and think tanks, representing India, ASEAN Member States, and Timor Leste.
