Greater Noida(Business Desk): In a significant development for India’s renewable energy sector, EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt Ltd has become the first company in the country to successfully establish and operate a large scale CBG production facility. Built on Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), EverEnviro’s Indore plant now the largest and most productive of its kind in India, achieving a daily output of 20 tonnes and the highest Plant Load Factor (PLF) in the sector.

Commissioned in partnership with the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) and inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, the facility plays a pivotal role in advancing India’s clean energy and circular economy goals. It was developed on a site previously burdened by over 2,00,000 metric tonnes of legacy waste and now processes 550 MT of segregated organic waste daily. The plant generates clean biofuel and organic manure, contributing to an estimated annual reduction of 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions.

“This achievement underscores the viability of industrial-scale bioenergy solutions in addressing urban waste challenges,” said Mahesh Girdhar, MD & CEO, EverEnviro. “It reflects effective collaboration across stakeholders and alignment with national climate and sustainability targets. Indore demonstrates what integrated, outcome-driven infrastructure can deliver.”

The plant is currently supplies CBG to over 15,000 households through Avantika Gas, Gujarat Gas, and Naveria Gas and powers Indore’s city bus fleet, reinforcing the government’s vision for sustainable urban mobility and cleaner fuels. In addition to 20TPD of CBG, the facility produces 40 MT of organic fertilizer daily, supporting regenerative agriculture and soil health.

Now a national benchmark for waste-to-bioenergy infrastructure, the plant has drawn interest from Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across India, as well as international delegations from the UK, Nepal, and Southeast Asia. It is also a hub for students, researchers, and policymakers exploring replicable models for smart, sustainable cities.

This milestone supports flagship national programs such as the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 and SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation), while playing a critical role in achieving India’s net zero ambitions and building garbage-free cities.
