New Delhi (Staff Correspondent): The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has invited visitors to celebrate New Year at Nagaraphirom Park, Bangkok. The park is located along the Chao Phraya River, with Wat Arun as its backdrop. Simultaneous events across Thailand will feature cultural icons like BamBam of GOT7.
A Celebration of Joy and Renewal
Thai Minister Sorawong Thienthong called the Countdown 2025 a symbol of joy, renewal, and hope. Events across cities and provinces will offer diverse celebrations for visitors. “Our focus is on quality tourism and showcasing Thailand’s traditions,” said Thienthong. The countdown highlights the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025. It reaffirms Thailand as a Global Countdown Destination for international travellers.
A Vibrant Festival of Light
The Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025 will run from December 28 to January 1. It offers performances, live music, workshops, and local cuisines along the Chao Phraya River. Thai artists like Lula, URBOYTJ, and The Toy will perform live onstage. A nine-act fireworks display will light up the skies on December 31.
The festival ends with a New Year’s merit-making ceremony at Wat Arun. Visitors can participate in alms-giving, reflecting Thailand’s spiritual traditions.
Nationwide Festivities
The Amazing Chiang Mai Countdown 2025 began December 21 at Royal Park Rajapruek. It includes illumination displays, cultural performances, and concerts featuring BamBam. The event will end January 1 with a grand fireworks show.
From December 29 to 31, ICONSIAM will host another Countdown 2025 celebration in Bangkok. The event will feature world-class performances and Thailand’s longest eco-friendly fireworks display. The themed “Celebrating the Everlasting Legacy of Siam” fireworks highlight Thailand’s heritage.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool emphasized sustainable tourism and showcasing regional strengths. “We aim to enhance visitor experiences and boost economic growth,” said Kiatphaibool. Thailand’s countdown celebrations reflect its global stature as a travel destination.
