New Delhi: Sugs Lloyd Limited, a diversified EPC power company, has won a ₹85.45 lakh turnkey contract from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), a leading power distribution utility in Gujarat. The project entails the supply, installation, and commissioning of advanced Fault Passage Indicators (FPIs) to upgrade DGVCL’s distribution network.
The initiative marks a strategic expansion for Sugs Lloyd in Gujarat, a key growth market for India’s power infrastructure. The FPIs will be deployed across 7 KV to 13 KV overhead lines, enhancing grid resilience by enabling real-time fault detection and location. This technology is expected to reduce outage durations, minimize revenue losses, and improve consumer satisfaction.
The project will be executed on a turnkey basis, with completion scheduled within two months of mobilization. FPIs will be installed at strategic intervals to optimize fault management and operational efficiency.
“This is a strategic win that reinforces our position as a trusted partner for grid modernization,” said Mr. Santosh Shah, Chairman of Sugs Lloyd. “It reflects our ability to deliver high-impact EPC solutions that contribute to operational excellence and the broader modernization of India’s power sector.”
Satyakam Basu, CEO of Sugs Lloyd, added, “Gujarat is a benchmark state for power distribution in India. Deepening our presence here is a key objective. This project with DGVCL showcases our engineering expertise and provides a repeatable model for utilities nationwide investing in smart grid technologies.”
