New Delhi: Santech Global and IIT Kharagpur signed an MoU today to establish a Center of Excellence in Semiconductor & Quantum Technologies in Kolkata, that will support research and development aimed at creating a safer and stronger Indo-Pacific region through improved technology. Consul General Kathy Giles-Diaz, Dr. Santosh Mukherjee of Santech Global, IIT-Kharagpur Director Dr. Suman Chakraborty, Deans and Faculty Members from IIT Kharagpur participated in the signing event, hosted by the U.S. Consulate General Kolkata at the American Center.
This partnership advances the U.S.-India TRUST initiative, and it supports semiconductor, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence R&D that will establish more reliable and resilient supply chains. Key partnerships between researchers and businesses like this show how the United States is bringing real-world benefits to ensure a strong Indo-Pacific region.
