Ahmedabad: Rajesh Power Services Limited, one of India’s leading EPC contractors in power transmission and distribution, announced that it had secured new turnkey orders worth ₹921.89 crore (inclusive of taxes) from Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL), a state-run power distribution utility in Gujarat. The announcement marked a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to modernize regional power infrastructure.
The newly awarded projects involve the conversion of existing 11kV high-tension overhead networks into underground cable systems, along with the installation of 11kV Medium Voltage Covered Conductors (MVCC) across multiple operational circles of UGVCL. These include Himmatnagar, Palanpur, Mehsana, and Sabarmati — key zones in northern Gujarat that are undergoing rapid urbanization and industrial expansion.
Rajesh Power Services Limited, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: 544291) and identified by ISIN: INE0VN801010, has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable and scalable power solutions across India. The company’s expertise in executing complex EPC contracts has positioned it as a preferred partner for both government and private sector clients.
Commenting on the development, Kurang Panchal, Managing Director of Rajesh Power Services Limited, stated, “We are grateful to partner with UGVCL for these significant projects, which reflect our ongoing focus on enhancing power distribution infrastructure in Gujarat. Drawing on our expertise in delivering reliable power solutions, we aim to support the region’s energy needs effectively. We look forward to contributing to the state’s evolving energy landscape in a meaningful way.”
The scope of work under these turnkey contracts includes detailed engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of underground cable systems and MVCC networks. These upgrades are expected to improve power reliability, reduce transmission losses, and enhance safety across residential and industrial zones.
This announcement follows a series of recent wins for Rajesh Power Services. Just last month, the company received orders worth ₹143.11 crore from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), another state-run distribution utility. Additionally, the company secured landmark orders worth ₹278 crore, which include a 400 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) segment from a combination of government and private clients.
Together, these contracts reflect the company’s growing footprint in the Indian power sector and its strategic focus on infrastructure modernization. The cumulative order inflow over the past two months underscores Rajesh Power’s operational momentum and its alignment with India’s broader energy goals, including grid resilience, urban electrification, and smart distribution networks.
With Gujarat emerging as a key hub for industrial growth and energy innovation, the timely execution of these projects will play a crucial role in supporting the state’s development trajectory. Rajesh Power Services reaffirmed its commitment to quality, safety, and timely delivery, and expressed confidence in its ability to meet the technical and logistical demands of these multi-location deployments.
As the company mobilizes resources and begins execution, stakeholders across the power ecosystem — from local communities to state utilities — are expected to benefit from improved service reliability and infrastructure resilience.
