Ahmedabad: Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited, a leading electrical contracting and infrastructure development company, has announced the receipt of two back-to-back orders totaling ₹102.78 crore under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). Both contracts have been awarded by Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL), reinforcing PIGL’s growing footprint in Rajasthan’s power distribution landscape.
These latest wins mark the company’s second and third consecutive RDSS orders from AVVNL within a year, underscoring PIGL’s reliability and consistent performance in executing large-scale turnkey infrastructure projects.
Order Details:
- Dungarpur Circle
- Contract Value: ₹68.22 crore
- Scope: Supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of materials and equipment for the development of distribution infrastructure, including segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders
- Timeline: 15 months
- Salumbar Circle
- Contract Value: ₹34.56 crore
- Scope: Similar turnkey execution for segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders
- Timeline: 15 months
Both projects aim to improve load balancing, reduce technical losses, and enhance the reliability of power supply in their respective regions—directly supporting RDSS objectives and boosting overall network performance.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director Padmaraj Padmnabhan Pillai said, “Securing two more RDSS orders in quick succession reflects the confidence built through our consistent delivery record. The works in Dungarpur and Salumbar Circles are technically demanding and play a key role in improving distribution efficiency and reliability across Rajasthan.”
