Greater Noida: On the occasion of National StartUp Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes to everyone associated with the world of StartUps. This year’s celebration holds special significance as it marks a decade since the launch of the StartUp India initiative.
The Prime Minister highlighted that this day is about celebrating the courage, spirit of innovation, and entrepreneurial zeal of the people, especially the youth, who have powered India’s rise in the global StartUp ecosystem.
Emphasizing the transformative role of StartUps, Narendra Modi said: “StartUps are engines of change that are shaping the future of our economy and society. They are doing exceptional work in addressing the challenges our planet faces and at the same time generating opportunities for people. I am proud of each and every person who dared to dream big, challenged conventional norms, took risks and created a transformative impact through their StartUps.”
The Prime Minister further noted that the Government of India has been working with all stakeholders to strengthen the StartUp ecosystem. He underlined that the Reform Express embarked upon by India has created a conducive atmosphere for StartUps to venture into areas previously unthinkable, including space and defence. He expressed pride that StartUps are playing a pivotal role in building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting youth who want to take risks and become problem solvers.
PM Modi also acknowledged the broader ecosystem of mentors, incubators, investors, academic institutions, and others who support StartUps. He remarked that their guidance and insights go a long way in encouraging young innovators and contributing to India’s growth story.
The Prime Minister reiterated his confidence in India’s StartUps as drivers of innovation, resilience, and national progress.
Quoting a Sanskrit verse, PM Modi praised the determination and dedication of India’s young entrepreneurs, noting that their relentless efforts are setting new records in the world of StartUps. He emphasized that their energy and passion will be the greatest force in realizing the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
