New Delhi: Goodluck India Limited, a leading engineering conglomerate, reported robust financial and operational performance for the second quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2 FY26), alongside major strategic milestones in defence and aerospace manufacturing.

The company recorded a 9.5% year-on-year increase in sales volume to 1,12,937 metric tonnes, while total income rose modestly by 1.7% to ₹9,975.9 million, impacted by softening steel prices. EBITDA surged 30.1% year-on-year to ₹980.2 million, with EBITDA margin expanding by 214 basis points to 9.8%, driven by a higher share of value-added products. Adjusted Profit After Tax (PAT), excluding exceptional items, grew 18.2% to ₹426.4 million, with PAT margin improving to 4.3%.

Operationally, the company maintained strong capacity utilization at approximately 90% (annualized), reflecting consistent demand and manufacturing efficiency across its six advanced plants in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Around 57% of its annual capacity of 500,000 MT is dedicated to high-margin, value-added products.

A key highlight of the quarter was the strategic progress made by its subsidiary, Goodluck Defence & Aerospace Ltd. The company received an industrial license under the Indian Arms Act, 1959, for manufacturing medium-caliber artillery shells, including 105mm to 155mm variants such as HE M107, ERFB, ERFB BB, and ERFB BIT. The dedicated defence facility was inaugurated in October 2025, launching commercial production with an initial capacity of 150,000 shells per annum, which is expected to scale up to 400,000 shells annually within the next 12 months. This expansion is backed by an investment of ₹5,000 million.

Goodluck Defence also fulfilled its investment commitment under the ‘UP Nivesh’ initiative, having signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The timely execution of this ₹5,000 million investment positions the company as a key contributor to India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and strengthens its role in the national defence manufacturing ecosystem.

In another strategic move, Goodluck India entered into a Tripartite MoU with BrahMos Aerospace Thiruvananthapuram Ltd (BATL) and Axiscades Technologies Ltd to collaborate on the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The consortium has filed an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), aiming to contribute to systems integration, electronics, and next-generation aerospace manufacturing.

Chairman Mahesh Chandra Garg commented, “Our performance in Q2 FY26 reflects sustained growth across key financial and operational metrics, while we continued to strengthen our foundation through strategic initiatives and operational discipline. The strategic progress we’ve made in the defence and aerospace sectors, particularly through our subsidiary Goodluck Defence, positions us at the forefront of India’s manufacturing ecosystem.”

He added, “We view FY26 as a year of capability building, laying the groundwork for accelerated growth in the years ahead. Our focus remains on enhancing value-added product offerings, executing efficiently, and expanding our presence in high-potential sectors such as defence, automotive, and infrastructure.”

With expanding capacities and active negotiations underway with domestic and international customers, Goodluck India remains optimistic about its growth trajectory in the second half of FY26. The company continues to invest in emerging sectors and innovative solutions across defence, automotive, solar, and infrastructure.
