Jaipur: Genus Power Infrastructures Limited, a leading smart metering solutions provider and AMISP player in India’s power distribution sector, announced its unaudited standalone financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2025, reporting robust growth across all key metrics.

For Q2FY26, Genus Power recorded a revenue of ₹1,149 crore, marking a 136% year-on-year increase from ₹486.9 crore in Q2FY25. This surge was attributed to accelerated execution of its smart metering order book, steady ramp-up of projects across multiple states, and favorable sectoral tailwinds.

EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹244.4 crore, more than tripling from ₹81.4 crore in the same period last year. The EBITDA margin improved by 456 basis points to 21.3%, driven by strong operating leverage, disciplined cost control, and efficient project execution.

Profit After Tax (from continuing operations) rose 162% to ₹148.2 crore, compared to ₹56.5 crore in Q2FY25. The company attributed this growth to operational excellence, margin expansion, and better absorption of fixed costs despite higher finance expenses.

For H1FY26, Genus Power reported revenue of ₹2,091.4 crore, up 132% from ₹901 crore in H1FY25. EBITDA rose to ₹443.9 crore, with margins expanding by 517 basis points to 21.2%. PAT from continuing operations reached ₹276.6 crore, a 185% increase over ₹97.1 crore in H1FY25.

As of 30 September 2025, the company’s total order book, including all SPVs and the GIC platform, stood at ₹28,758 crore (net of taxes), with concessions spanning 8–10 years. This provides strong multi-year revenue visibility and a balanced mix of EPC and long-term O&M contracts, contributing to a stable annuity stream.

Commenting on the performance, Joint Managing Director Jitendra Kumar Agarwal stated, “Q2FY26 was another strong quarter for Genus Power, reflecting consistent execution and healthy growth across our smart metering programs. Our manufacturing and on-ground capabilities are fully aligned with the expanding rollout. With an annual smart meter capacity of 1.8 crore units and healthy utilisation levels, we are well positioned to meet growing demand.”

He added, “The industry backdrop remains favorable, supported by policy continuity and sustained implementation under the RDSS program. Genus continues to maintain a leadership position in the smart metering space. With execution progressing well and the first half tracking ahead of plan, we are confident of delivering a strong FY26 while continuing to build on our position as a trusted, technology-driven partner in India’s smart metering transformation.”

The company also clarified that the variance in PAT between standalone and consolidated financials arises from mark-to-market gains or losses linked to Genus Paper & Boards Limited, which are notional accounting adjustments rather than realized profits or losses.
