Ahmedabad: In a significant recognition of one of Gujarat’s enduring business legacies, the Government of India unveiled a ₹5 Corporate Stamp in honour of Late Tejmal Ji Mangal on Monday, whose entrepreneurial vision laid the foundation of the Mangal family business on June 1, 1942. Over the past 84 years, that foundation has evolved into a diversified industrial legacy, including Mangalam Worldwide Limited (MWL), a leading stainless-steel manufacturer and exporter.
The commemorative stamp was unveiled at the headquarters of Mangalam Worldwide Limited in Ahmedabad in the presence of Vipin Prakash Mangal, Chairman, Mangalam Worldwide Limited, along with the fourth genera on of the family business, Chandragupt Prakash Mangal and Chanakya Prakash Mangal, who are carrying forward the family’s entrepreneurial legacy. The commemorative stamp was unveiled in the presence of Ganesh V. Sawaleshwarkar, Chief
Postmaster General, Gujarat Circle, and Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, Headquarters Region, Ahmedabad, who joined the ceremony as distinguished guests from the Department of Posts.
The unveiling marks a tribute to the vision, determination, and values of Late Tejmal Ji Mangal, who began his entrepreneurial journey in 1942. What started as a modest trading venture has grown over eight decades into a respected business group, creating value across generations while contributing to India’s industrial and economic development.
The Mangal family’s business legacy has been built and strengthened across four generations. Today, under the leadership of Vipin Prakash Mangal and the active involvement of the fourth generation, represented by Chandragupt Prakash Mangal and Chanakya Prakash Mangal, the group continues to expand its footprint while remaining rooted in the principles established by its founder.
