Greater Noida: Visakha Steel General Hospital (VSGH) celebrated its 34th Formation Day at VSGH, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Visakhapatnam. VSGH is a 160-bed hospital serving employees of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and their families.
G. V. N. Prasad, Director (Commercial), RINL graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr. C. V. Rao, Interventional Cardiologist, CARE Hospital, Visakhapatnam attended as Guest of Honour.
Dr J. N. Sarangi, GM (M&HS) welcomed the gathering and highlighted recent initiatives to strengthen medical services and upgrade hospital infrastructure. He thanked doctors, paramedical staff, medical administration, and outsourcing staff for their dedicated service to patients.
Addressing the gathering, Director (Commercial) appreciated the comprehensive healthcare services provided by VSGH. He commended the hospital for conducting regular health awareness sessions and medical camps. He emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and conveyed his best wishes to the entire VSGH team.
The Dr. Kuppachi Krishna Murthy Gold Medal for Best Doctor was awarded to Dr. Ravishankar A Rao, DGM Medical, VSGH and Y. Lakshmi Prabhakar Gold Medal for Best Nurse was awarded to P. Rajeswari, Assistant Manager Nursing, VSGH.
On the occasion, Dr. C. V. Rao delivered a talk titled “Predict, Prevent and Protect from ASCVD (Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease)”.
Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions conducted in connection with the Formation Day celebrations. Doctors, specialists, paramedical staff, medical administration, and outsourcing staff were present during the function.
