Mumbai: Vikran Engineering Limited (VEL), one of India’s emerging multisector EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies, announced that it has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited for a ₹459.20 crore EPC contract to execute a 400 MW AC grid-connected solar power project at Chitrakoot-1 in Uttar Pradesh.
The contract covers the Balance of System (BoS) package and is scheduled for completion within 12 months. The scope of work includes inland transportation, insurance, installation, testing, commissioning, and guarantee tests, ensuring the project’s full operational readiness.
VEL will deliver the project in line with NTPC Renewable Energy Limited’s stringent technical specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety standards. The award underscores Vikran Engineering’s ability to execute large-scale, time-bound renewable energy projects for marquee public-sector clients.

The Chitrakoot-1 solar project is expected to contribute substantially to India’s renewable energy capacity addition, supporting the country’s long-term sustainability and decarbonization objectives.
