Hyderabad: Titan Intech Ltd. has announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Media Information Communication Co., Ltd. (MIC), Seoul, Republic of Korea, for joint development, customization, and technology transfer of next-generation MIP, SMD, and Mini-LED display systems, along with Android-based control solutions. The partnership marks a significant milestone in India’s advanced electronics manufacturing landscape, aligning with national missions such as Make in India, Digital India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The collaboration, valued at USD 1.53 million, will enable Titan Intech Ltd. to localize high-value components and build scalable manufacturing capabilities for professional display and control systems. This move positions the company at the forefront of India’s display-tech industry, which has traditionally relied on imports.
Key Highlights Of The MoU
- Joint R&D Scope: The partnership will focus on FPGA/SoC-based LED display controllers, Android control boards for interactive LCD panels, and IP-based Passenger Information Systems (PIS) for railways, airports, and metro systems. It will also deliver customized solutions for automotive, defense, and transportation sectors, addressing India’s rising demand for smart dashboards, ruggedized visual systems, and command-control applications.
- Technology Transfer: MIC Korea will provide Titan Intech Ltd. with comprehensive design documentation, hardware and firmware packages, and software licenses for advanced display calibration, control, and communication modules. This transfer will empower localized R&D and manufacturing in India.
- Software Licensing: Titan Intech Ltd. will receive a 7-year non-exclusive license (2025–2032) for the mLED Master Suite in Standard, Premium, and 4K versions. The suite includes modules for display control, production calibration, and AI-based diagnostics, enhancing India’s system integration capabilities.
- Commercialization Rights: Titan Intech Ltd. will hold non-exclusive manufacturing and commercialization rights for India, along with global R&D rights. This opens avenues for export partnerships and cross-border collaborations.
Strategic Significance And Market Opportunity
The partnership establishes India’s first indigenously developed LED/LCD display-control ecosystem, integrating hardware design, firmware intelligence, and scalable manufacturing. Titan Intech Ltd. is now poised to serve multiple high-growth sectors:
- Automotive Displays: Intelligent dashboards, infotainment systems, and driver-assistance modules
- Transportation & Infrastructure: Passenger Information Systems for railways, metros, and airports
- Education & Enterprise: Interactive learning boards, digital classrooms, and video-conferencing solutions
- Home Entertainment & Virtual Production: Mini-LED home-theatre displays, AR/VR broadcasting, and studio-grade backdrops
- eSports & Gaming: Ultra-high refresh, low-latency display systems as projector alternatives
- Control Rooms & Smart Cities: Visualization platforms for utilities, traffic management, and defense command networks
National Impact And Policy Alignment
The initiative supports India’s push for self-reliance in electronics manufacturing. By localizing critical components such as LED drivers, video processors, and control modules, Titan Intech Ltd. aims to reduce import dependency, enhance export readiness, and generate employment through indigenous R&D and IP creation.
The company anticipates strong market traction and investor value creation across infotainment, control-display, and smart infrastructure sectors. The partnership also opens doors for OEM collaborations, technology licensing, and nationwide deployments in smart cities and public infrastructure.
